American Idol Top 9-Lennon/McCartney

No real comments tonight...too much other stuff going on, but here's my rankings!

TOP 6
Lee, Dude, I mean Jude, Na Na Na Na Na Na Na, you are amazingly good looking and you can sing to me anytime.
Crystal didgeri-did it and came together tonight!
Katie let it be and rocked out the house! WOW!
Casey, may be a jealous man but he didn't hurt anyone with that performance.
Tim, I would take all of his lovin' if he sent it to me, he is over 18 and he loves Jesus, so it would be ok.
Big Mike, I would not be a lonely person if he was my friend because he is a to the we some.

BOTTOM 3
Andrew, may not care too much for money because it can't buy him love, but I might buy his cd.
Siobhan, this experience has change her world and usually you can hear her high notes around the universe.
Aaron's performance was a long and winding and bad one.

Hi-Lo-Ha-La

It's been a very long time since I did my hi-lo-ha-la! I'm trying to get back into the routine of blogging so here we go!

Hi
I got my hair chopped off, 6 whole inches! I get bored with my hair and it often ends up in ponytails so I decided it was time for a change. I love it!

Lo
I've been feeling sick a lot lately. Not sick, sick...just sick, like something just isn't right. Well the doctors finally figured out that I have low iron and extremely low vitamin D. You vitamin D level should be between 100 and 250, mine are at a 14. It's probably due to the winter months and not getting as much sunshine as I should. It will probably take me around 6 months to get my levels up taking the supplements so I'll be getting all the sunshine I can! I guess this is a hi as well, that they finally figured me out!

Ha
I bit it in the church parking lot yesterday. I had on wedges although they weren't too high. I had my hands full and my ankle rolled...and I rolled with it. I don't think anyone saw, I jumped up and acted like nothing happened until I got the car. I'm glad that I can laugh at myself even when I'm injured.

La
Tomorrow, I am going to a wedding! Not just any wedding, but the wedding of Linda and Don. Linda is my friend, Holly's mom. I am so excited to be able to celebrate with her as she gets married again.

American Idol Top 11-#1 Billboard Hits

#1 Miley Cyrus, REALLY? Whose idea was that? The Disney Channel? I'm pretty sure she had someone telling her what to say. I think she clapped and said, "Yeah, that was awesome" for everyone.

#2 Does anyone else think that Kara actually might have a crush on Simon?

#3 Does anyone else wish there was a button you could push to just fast forward Kara?

#4 Does anyone else think Ellen is awesome?

#5 Does anyone want to hook me up with Lee or Danny Gokey)?

Lee - "The Letter"
As much as I love me some Lee, I wasn't a huge fan of the arrangement. I wasn't as impressed as I have been in the past. He didn't really seem confident when he finished either. The actual judges (yes I know that I'm not one) with the exception of Simon disagreed with me. No matter what, Lee will definitely be around for awhile.

Paige - "Against All Odds"
I could never wear heels like the ones she had on tonight, so props to Paige and the giant heels. Oh Paige, she sounded a little hoarse and her voice seemed really shaky at parts. It was not good. It was one of the worst, karaoke-ish performances I've ever heard. At least she knew she didn't do well. She was all over the place with her range, her pitch, etc. She held herself together well with all the negative criticism.

Tim - "Crazy Little Thing Called Love"
Sweet, cute boy. Tim has definitely grown up over the past month or so. He was moving all over the stage which was fun to watch although I think it threw him off a little. You could see him thinking about what his next move was. The vocal wasn't horrible but it wasn't a Top 10 performance either. I totally agreed with Ellen that it was like a High School Musical audition...I actually laughed out loud because I was totally thinking it!

Aaron - "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing"
At least he had laryngitis and tonsillitis to blame for the pitchyness. Of course, he would have a crush on Miley! I've never been a big fan of the high school boys on Idol. I think it's partly because they sing lovey-dovey songs and I would feel like a creeper if I was actually a fan...it's like Justin Bieber, I liked him until I realized he was like 9 years old. No really comments on Aaron. He'll probably make it several more weeks but I don't see him lasting much longer than that.

Crystal - "Me And Bobby McGee"
I actually don't think I've ever heard that song before but Crystal rocked it! She's amazingly talented, I just want to see her personality more or maybe I just want to see her smile more. I know she loves to sing but I want to see it in her interviews. I was typing while she was singing and just stopped to watch her because the last 20 seconds was incredible! I also loved Ellen's comments about her personality as well, I totally agree that she just needs to get out there! I'm looking forward to seeing whatever she's got planned for next week. I would love to see her without the guitar as well! I loved that she sat down on carpet with Ryan...that's the kind of thing that makes her more appealing to me!

Big Mike - "When A Man Loves A Woman"
I already loved him when he was singing to Miley. Mike could sing to me any day. He's definitely a teddy bear. I still love the lick of the lips as well. I was totally mesmerized by Mike singing. I love when he closes his eyes and moves his head around and just belts it out. He feels he is singing and he has always connected with his audiences. I don't know how anyone could not love Big Mike! The judges were way to harsh on Mike tonight. I hope they feel differently when they watch it back.

Andrew - "I Heard It Through The Grapevine"
The one good thing Miley did on the show was to recommend that Andrew put down his guitar. I actually like Andrew a lot more than I thought I would tonight. He has impressed me over the past few weeks but tonight I could focus on his vocals and not on his guitar. He didn't mix the song up as much as I think he could have but I did like him more than the judges did. They were pretty hard on him. I'm sure it's hard that they bring up "Straight Up" every week, that was an incredible performance and it's hard to live up to something like that.

Katie - "Big Girls Don't Cry"
I'm sure it was cool for Katie to hang out with Miley since they are the same age. Katie looked beautiful tonight. You could tell that she had a lot of fun on the stage tonight and I think she is getting better every week. Katie is growing on me! She did a great job and I actually agree with Kara that the pop songs are were Katie should be.

Casey - "Power Of Love"
Every time I hear this song, I just think of Back To The Future. I love Casey playing the guitar and I loved that he played a little then focused on singing tonight. I don't have a lot to say about Casey tonight. I think he did a great job and that it was a fun performance, definitely entertaining to watch him and the band. Ladies love him and I love his hair. He'll continue to get better and he's already made improvements in connecting with his song and his audience.

Didi - "You're No Good"
Didi reminds me of Brooke White from a couple seasons ago. I loved seeing some of Didi's personality tonight while she was singing. Her facial expressions were great and she had great stage presence. Didi came out of her shell tonight and came back into the competition! You could tell that she had fun and enjoyed the performance, even though the judges didn't care for it. I'm glad she stuck up for herself at the end.o

Siobhan - "Superstition"
She is an awkwardly, strange girl. I'm still not sure what I think about her, she funky, fearless and confidant in herself but I wasn't a fan tonight. One thing I noticed is that she's a very smiley singer which I think means that she's having fun. Every week, I've heard these crazy notes come out of her little body. Her self-expression makes her a better performer.

Paige

I think Paige is the one to go but you never know. Tim and Andrew are also on the list. It is American Idol though and you never know what will happen!

Favorite Things #2

#1 - I just bought a Keel's Simply Diary on my latest adventure to Southlake, TX. It is random and awesome (like me)! The diary has multiple choice questions, fill-in the blanks, funny quotes as well. It's great for someone like me that wants to keep a daily journal but doesn't have the time nor the energy to write something every day. You're guarenteed to sounds witty every day! :)

#2 - I just got diagnosed with mild/moderate Sleep Apnea a couple weeks ago. I've been completely exhausted over the last 6 months or so. No amount of sleep was helping and I finally mentioned it to my doctor who sent me to have a sleep study. After two nights of being attached to wires on my head, neck, fingers and legs...they discovered that I had SA. This means that I stop breathing when I sleep. On average I stopped breathing 13 times an hour and the longest I went without oxygen was 16 seconds. Because I stop breathing, my brain wakes me up thus I've not being getting deep sleep. So for the past 2 weeks I've been sleeping with a CPAP machine. The machine was a little scary at first and it probably won't assist me in meeting the man of my dreams BUT I'm finally waking up in the morning feeling somewhat rested! My body isn't used to getting that deep of sleep so once I've been on the CPAP for awhile I should feel even better!

#3 - Papermate flair pens have been one of my favorite things for a few years now. I love the felt top pens and I can't get enough of the fun colors! I buy a new pack every couple months because I'm always losing a color. I've started using the pens to color coordinate my calendar which is great. Orange is for appointments, Blue is for school, green is for birthdays, pink is for work and purple is for other. I'm a little OCD about my calendar and the pens make my life happy!

American Idol Top 12-Rolling Stones Night

Big Mike-"Miss You"
I love his moves. Mike is confident but not cocky. He's a "what you see is what you get" kind of guy and I love that about him. I think it was a great song choice and performance. He's a complete package with his vocals, his personality and his buff arms!

Didi-"Playing With Fire"
Even though I've blogged the last three weeks, I don't remember Didi at all. I actually liked her tonight though. She's definitely a pretty girl and has a strong voice. I think she'd be a good country singer after tonight's performance. Apparently she's getting better because I think I'll actually remember her after this week.

Casey-"It's All Over Now"
I had no idea that he had a bad reaction to a vaccine and had seizures but would hum songs before he could talk. What an incredible story and how humble he is to say that he is "the least talented" of his family. Casey is definitely a ladies man. I love that he gets a little embarrassed when people talk about his cuteness because it makes him even cuter! He's got a great voice and lots of talent with the guitar as well. He better stick around for awhile!

Lacey-"Ruby Tuesday"
No idea that she was a PK! I'm finding all kinds of this out about these contestants this week! I loved the mini-orchestra, it was definitely the perfect song choice for her tonight. Lacey is unique and has a great vocal style; however, her clothing style is a little strange.

Andrew-"Gimme Shelter"
Sweet, proud dad. Andrew has slowly been slipping on my list. He was so unique at the beginning. I agree with several of the judges that he may have "peaked" too early. He's different from the rest of the guys but I don't know how long he'll be around.

Katie-"Wild Horses"
I was a little disappointed by Katie getting in the Top 12 over Lilly last week but I think she did well this week. She's definitely a girl who sings a little bit of everything and I'm not sure what she really wants to do. She is young though, I think the youngest contestant that's left.

Tim-"Under My Thumb"
What a cute boy! If this were a cuteness contest, Tim just might win but since it's a singing competition, I doubt it. Poor Tim! I love the boy and his giant family but he hasn't ever wow-ed me by his vocals and he's just been consistently ok....not horrible, not amazing.

Siobahn-"Paint It Black"
Very artsy family, I think I've seen them on Wife Swap :) The performance was strange but I think she did really well, she's super dramatic and the lighting effects were good. Siobahn would be good on Broadway. She definitely has a huge range, she surprises me at times. I wasn't a fan of the fake tattoo or the combat boots with the formal dress but to each her own...I guess.

Lee-"Beast Of Burden"
My poor, paint store boyfriend whose going to be rich and famous now. Holler for me! Every week I say that I love his voice, so I'll say it again, I FREAKIN' LOVE HIS VOICE! I've added raspy-ness to my list of husband qualities. Ok I haven't really but it would be a huge plus. Lee did great as usually, he knows who he is as a singer and he does continue to improve week after week.

Paige-"Honky Tonk Woman"
Paige has a deep, raspyness to her voice and sometimes I like it and sometimes I don't. I'm pretty surprised that she's made it this far. She did alright tonight better than I actually expected. I didn't realize she was sick until the end so I give her props for that!

Aaron-"Angie"
I've never been a fan of the young kid on the show but sweet Aaron was pretty good tonight. He's still got some work to do before he wins me over but he has definitely improved over the last several weeks. He made a good song choice and had lots of emotion within his performance.

Crystal-"You Can't Always Get What You Want"
I love her style, her tone, her voice, her just about everything but her personality just isn't there. She's so dry and never looks excited or happy but the girl is crazy talented and did an incredible job tonight. She's an entertainer and doesn't ever disappoint me. Crystal needs to loosen up and show who she really is and I think she'll get more votes!

American Idol - Top 10 Boys

Big Mike - "This Is A Man's World"
Great performance. Nice microphone acrobatics. I think Mike will make it into the Top 4 at least. I love his lips and I cannot lie, you other girls can't deny...

John - "Gravity"
I just can't look at John when he performs. I like him alright when I close my eyes. He did do better this week although he still needs to work on connecting with the songs.

Casey - "I Don't Wanna Be"
What do you think his ritual is? I hope he makes it into the Top 10 so we find out. Casey is a great musician. Electric guitar=HOT! There were parts of the song where I couldn't understand him, it sounded bit mumbled.

Alex (a.k.a. MULLIE) - "Everybody Know"
Nasty 1/2 Mullet turns me off but he was much better than last week. He seems like a sweet boy and has super cute dimples. I liked him playing the guitar and singing, that's his thing.

Todrick - "What's Love Got To Do"
I still think Todrick has some creepy yellow eyes. They were accentuated by the metallic pleather jacket. I'm not a fan, he's just trying too hard or something.

Jermaine - "What's Going On"
The onesie he wore in his interview was a little too revealing for me. Jermaine was better this week but not great. He seems overly confident. He was better this week but not great.

Andrew - "You Give Me Something"
Andrew needs to shave. His facial hair was patchy and gross. I loved Andrew in Hollywood week but he's gone downhill since. I hope he sticks around another week just so he'll have another shot.

Aaron - "My Girl"
Aaron is getting stronger. His confidence showed this week and it made him a much better performer.

Tim - "Come On Get Higher"
I love Matt Nathanson and was so happy to hear one of his songs on AI. Tim is so sweet and cute. I wish he was a better singer/performer because I really like him but it's just not there yet. He has little if any stage presence.

Lee (a.k.a. My Boyfriend)- "Lips Of A Angel"
Walking out, holding a mic stand=HOT. A little pitchy at times but the raspy voice has me sold. I heart Lee!
